If the wrist strap is too loose or disconnected, the ESD monitor will immediately trigger an audible and visual alarm, ensuring that static electricity from the human body is reliably discharged to ground. This real-time monitoring function guarantees consistent ESD protection and is suitable for use by up to two operators simultaneously.

 

•Securely wear the wrist strap and insert the plug into the WRIST STRAP port on the HORBEST ESD monitor.

•Connect the copper grounding terminal to the workbench ground wire.

•Insert the dedicated power supply and switch on the monitor. Each power switch controls a single workstation—when one operator leaves, the corresponding switch can be turned off.

 

To enhance reliability, the HORBEST ESD monitor is equipped with an adjustable sensitivity function. A built-in trimmer resistor, located beside each wrist strap socket, allows fine-tuning of the detection sensitivity. This adjustment compensates for wrist strap tightness and varying skin conditions such as dryness or moisture. The resistor is factory-preconfigured, but users can make adjustments using a small flat-head screwdriver if needed.
